Midnight Sun

At these high latitudes in theory the sun is visible all day, as it doesn't dip below the horizon. This of course assumes that nothing like a mountain is blocking your view of the horizon. This is the first day where I've had the right view point to see the midnight sun.


It is really too bright to look directly at. I always feel bad about pointing camera sensors directly at the sun, however briefly.


(All photos taken at ISO 100, the lowest, as modern cameras can make night look like day on high ISO settings, no faking here!)
